I am so glad I found you! This was the most positive, productive 2 hrs I've spent in ages. Hoa Kutcher was great. She was patient, professional, and glad to share her knowledge of watercolor with me. I have gained so much confidence but mainly willingness to paint! Thanks so much for offering this class

'Walking the Path'Ink & Gouache8"x10"What you see here grew from an initial sketch into a vibrant expression of color. I chose the source material (via pixabay) because of the closeness of the couple. My rendition of them is more dreamlike, as if they have reunited after crossing over. I've called it 'Walking the Path' because I believe that when one journey ends, another begins...just on a different road.

I had a large Koi pond in my backyard in Eagan, MN for many years and loved to keep colorful variations of Koi fish. They wintered at the bottom of the aerated pond, and many lived for decades. So peaceful to watch.

I'm new to oils and painting, I would say my style would be fine art and surrealism, no rules and I can escape, experiment and have fun. I painted this scene as I'd came across a beautiful photo of calla Lilly valley in California, I use the idea but made it my ownwith the colours and changed parts of it, I like the perspective and the enchanting mysterious vibe it gave. Returned to art almost a year ago, still finding my way, but determined, excited and fully motivated to reach my potential,

I was at The Starfish Restaurant when I captured this view on a cold day in Bradenton Florida from the dock behind the restaurant. I was fascinated by the light coming from one of the boats and the gas pump. The photograph helped me to produce this oil painting when I got home in Ohio.

This painting is part of a collection I am working on called the Beautiful Project. The Beautiful Projects lifts up everyday people in our communities doing amazing things. People nominate people in their lives they think are beautiful. Then we sit down and have a discussion about why. They give me a bunch of pictures and I paint the beautiful person and write up a story about what I found that was beautiful about them as I painted. Vivi is beautiful because she never gives up.
